Braslav holidays 3: Vidzy-Milyuntsy-Drisvyaty.

Description

Braslav district is a real pearl of Belarus, where nature and history are intertwined, creating a unique atmosphere. On this trip, we will go to places where cultural heritage has been preserved for centuries.

Our journey begins in the small but very cozy village of Vidzy. This place is known for its picturesque lakes and forests, which attract tourists from all over the country. One of the main attractions is the Church of the Holy Trinity, the Orthodox Church of the Holy Dormition, striking for its architecture and interior decoration. We will explore the semi-abandoned building of the former mill in the very center of the village. In addition, we will admire the well-preserved building of the Vavzhetsky's Manor House of the late XVIII - early XIX centuries, which preserves the spirit of past eras. A walk through this place will allow you to feel the atmosphere of the time when our ancestors lived here.

The next stop is Milyuntsy. There is a wonderful monument of architecture in the Neo-Gothic style - the Church of St. Jacob.

We will finish our trip in Drisvyaty, which is famous for its picturesque lakes and unique nature. One of the largest lakes in the Braslav region, Lake Drisvyaty, is located here. This place is ideal for fishing, swimming and just relaxing in nature.

We will also visit the Orthodox Church and Catholic Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Drisvyaty.

Traveling around the Braslav region is not only an opportunity to enjoy nature, but also to immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the region. Each of the visited places will leave an unforgettable impression and give you the opportunity to learn more about the heritage. Don't miss the chance to discover this amazing part of Belarus!
