Braslav district is famous not only for its unique natural resources, which are rightfully considered one of the most beautiful in the whole of Belarus. Historical, architectural and archaeological treasures are also carefully preserved in Braslav district. In general, the territory of the Braslav Lakes National Park and its surroundings are famous for their abundance of architectural monuments and attractions, creating a rich historical and cultural heritage of this region. The list of significant places here is very impressive and diverse.

In this tour we will visit interesting monuments located in the vicinity of Braslav, within a radius of about fifteen kilometers from this city.


We will see the majestic chapel in Akhremovtsy, the church and the church in Ikazn, as well as the snow-white shrine and symbol of the entire Braslav region - the Church of God's Providence in Slobodka.


We will also drive up to the lake, known by an unusual name 'God's eye'. It attracts attention and surprises with its perfectly round shape.


We will stop in the agro-town of Opsa to admire the beautiful majestic church of St. John the Baptist in the Neo-Gothic style, located in a picturesque place on the shore of the lake. We will see the former neoclassical–style Count's palace, owned by Count Plater, a relative of Emilia Plater, the Belarusian Joan of Arc.


We will finish the trip along this route with a visit to a wonderful monument of architecture in the Neo-Gothic style - the Church of St. James in the village of Milyuntsy.
